THEATRE ARTS & OPPORTUNITIES IS FOUNDED IN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT ARTS HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE LIVES.

Theatre Arts & Opportunities Foundation, Inc. is fully invested in the creation of theatre programs where they would otherwise not exist. Emphasis is placed on the discipline of play writing and performing through which both artistic and life skills are learned, while a sense of community and purpose is developed.

ACTORS & PLAYWRIGHTS

The Actors & Playwrights Program at Garner Correctional Institution supports and encourages the talents of approximately 22 inmates per semester. They have written dozens of plays which have been produced for performances within Garner as well as in surrounding Connecticut Community Theaters.

INSIDEOUT YOUTH THEATRE

Children and young adult theater programs in the community read and perform plays written by and for students. These plays have themes consistent with personal growth, maturity and facing the myriad of issues young people face in today’s world.
