INSIDEOUT YOUTH THEATRE PRODUCTIONS

Children and young adult theater programs in the community read and perform plays written by and for students. These plays have themes consistent with personal growth, maturity and facing the myriad of issues young people face in today’s world. Themes such as bullying, healthy friendships and education are among the topics which are given treatment by the Actors & Playwright Program for these young performers.  These plays are produced in local community theaters.

InsideOut is for children and young adults from 9 - 17 years old, with no acting experience necessary. Contact us to learn more about getting involved.

TAO is so very proud to announce that Diamond Jackson, one of the original members of the InsideOut Youth Theater Group, has graduated with the Class of 2020 from Central High School in Bridgeport.

Diamond has been a committed member of the theatre program for four years, as she learned and performed her way to a mentorship role working with the younger members in the group.

Diamond will be spending her summer training to be a Certified Nursing Assistant, as she takes her place among the essential workers in the health care field.  Her joyful and compassionate personality will make her an asset to this community.  Theatre Arts & Opportunities wishes Diamond much success

INSIDEOUT YOUTH THEATRE PRODUCTION: EVERY LITTLE BIT

“I like so many things about InsideOut Youth Theater Group. I like all the games, stretching, and breathing exercises before we start practicing. I really like all practicing all the different scenes. Another thing I like is all the very nice teachers. They make sure that everyone is ready and that everyone feels like a star. They also provide other things such as pencils , crayons, colored pencils, and snacks to get our energy up to act our best . The scripts are not hard to remember and the stories are great! Sometimes, we are even able to write our own scripts and tell our own stories . Last but not least, when I walk through that door I see 1.) Lots of friendly kids 2.) I know it’s time to be Creative 3.) And the most IMPORTANT thing is I’m ready to have fun!”
