THE READERS GROUP

The Book Club has been up and running for one year. Initiated by the motivation of an avid reader at Garner C.I., the club seeks to read various and disparate works of fiction and non-fiction in preparation for a vigorous and detailed discussion of the books. In the first year, the club read over a dozen books ranging from Herman Melville to Isaac Asimov, along with Steinbeck, Hawthorne, Sister Soulja and Maya Angelou, among others. Non-Fiction titles have included Tom Wolfe’s The Right Stuff and Edith Eva Eger’s The Choice.

TAO encourages and supports active and inquisitive reading as a means to an enhanced understanding of our world.
